BLUFARM
Using an Akai mpc as his main instrument, and incorporating samplers, outboard effects, a laptop and a mixing board, San Francisco transplant Blufarm makes dubby electronic music with ambient synth pads and deep bass lines.
Chahe Demian aka Blufarm was born in Beirut where he grew up and developed his passion for music listening to Japan, Sakamoto, Eno and Kraftwerk. After spending a few years in New York City, where he purchased his first Akai mpc and experimented with samples, he moved to San Francisco and started assembling his home studio.
He soon became a resident at San Francisco’s underground Rx Gallery, dj-ing or performing experimental live sets with analog hardware. Currently Blufarm has migrated back to his studio where he spends most of his time creating and mixing audio for the gaming industry, and working on his own music projects.
In 2009 a few of his tracks and remixes will be released on European labels such as 240 Volts and Mozzarella records.
