While playing live / djing for the last ten years , we at swayzak have ventured from brilliant to awful but at least we are honest and try our best . sometimes problems are beyond our control , sometimes we should not play but we do ! so when we arrived in Nantes , france for a so called festival and encountered a joke of a stage , with floor monitors in a huge booming room , sound bouncing from wall to wall . stage that rocks , records that jump when the stage rocks ! and we don’t play mp3’s like the others ! things were troublesome :

But never has anyone spat on me ! I thought this kind of behaviour was for punk rockers in the 1970’s .

This was NANTES france 2007 . sad fuck ……..seems like they never tried MDMA !

What was amazing was there were around 800 people dancing away to our sounds when this blob of flemish phlegm landed on my shoulder . this really got me in a fighting mood and I was looking for the C@NT . as john smeaton says “this is Glasgow , we will set about you “

Ok I was in france but my Glaswegian mentality stands up for fair play and a kicking for anyone who needs a fucking doing for such poor behaviour .

Anyway some may say I deserve this treatment but I would disagree , the sound on stage , stage build and security were all below the standard of the western world . so perhaps we should have not played . on the whole I thought it was good set nice tracks ! shame one spoils for all others . ah well !

It was a triple bumper weekend for swayzak and we played in lux , Lisbon and club 11, Amsterdam two wonderful clubs with great function one soundsytems . the promoters were gentlemen and we had great sets ! hopefully we can put the link to the live set from Amsterdam up , cos it was one of the best we ever did !!!thanks to napoleon dynamite and pedro
